Field Supervisor Barbra Corell, MSW is on hand for a group shot with Jennifer Garris and Faculty Supervisor Toni Peabody at the end of a wonderful school social work experience.
Footsteps is a program administered by the University of Indianapolis Social Work Program to link students like you with social work practitioners in the field. Once matched up with a practitioner, you’ll meet them at their agency, they will give you a tour, tell you about social work and their journey in the profession, and answer questions you may have about the field or the program. Depending on the confidentiality clause at their agency, you may be able to sit in interviews with clients!
Contact Sandy at (317) 788-3535. You will need to answer some questions to determine when you can meet and find out the areas that most interest you. She will then match you with a social worker with similar interests. She will contact the social worker for you, and set up the visit for you. If interested, she can also set up a campus visit the same day so that you can meet staff, students, and faculty.
If you are not sure social work is the field for you, or you have not determined your interest of study, you can get more information about the University of Indianapolis Social Work Program by contacting Sandy at (317) 788-3535 or sbaughn@uindy.edu .
